The Child on the Road
I was on the wheels, on the winding roads.
The sun was getting red;
appearing and disappearing as I ascended up.
My eyes fixed to the road as I maneuver each curve.
At the rear seat, seated my wife and my kid,
It was a thrill we all were sharing!
Both fear and admiration:
The mountains or the narrow curves,
The saffron hue or the Balck tar road,
The sound of the stream or roar of my Datsun.
"Watch out! A child" ...my wife screamed!
I could seed a nude black kid at the edge of the road!
Holding a jingle, making his way to the centre of road.
Concerned!I slowed,
.....to decide, stop or not to stop.
I made my choice?
I halted at a distance and honked.
He seemed to respond and that made a big difference. Like life!
