A Wish to Wish New Year

Now, when the New Year eve is around; it’s wishing time. And wishing costs us Greeting cards, SMSs, Emails, Phone calls, Champagne bottles, Restaurant bills, French kiss and many other things, that I feel, better be censored. We generally express our greetings to the ones we love, to the ones we don’t love (doesn’t means we hate them) and to the one we love very much. This New Year, I have decided, to wish New Year to the ones out of these categories. It’s like wishing to the one standing next to you in a crowded bus, or to the chat wala, who sells the ‘chat pati chat’ I enjoy eating even though it upsets my stomach. And also to the doctor who treats me when I have an upset stomach.

How about, starting it in a very much planned way? “Mission Wishing New Year 2012”

To accomplish this mission, I have decided to stand in the public bus stop, with my best outfit, and planning to extend my regards to men, women, young, old, short, fat, tall and thin. After that, when the public will start thinking me as an escaped lunatic, I will board a crowded town bus. Struggling through the standing passengers, I will find myself a safe place in the bus and will again start my wishing business.

I am sure, by the time the conductor approaches me for the ticket; I must have then surprised, confused and irritated my fellow passengers. When conductor will ask me to buy the ticket, I will wish him then. Surprised by my behavior, poor fellow, who have never been cared to be wished by the passengers, will certainly look me with dubious eyes. He will yell at me, for not making haste, for buying the tickets. Instead of buying ticket to a particular destination, I will buy a day pass and will get down at any random stop.

As the eve will be of New Year day, each and every lane of the city will be in a festive mood, and I will choose to walk through an unknown lane, wishing each and every individual I shall see there.

The kind of city I live in, the lanes never have an abrupt end, but will open up to a Cross or so, where I will take another bus to another lane. This time I will prefer a less crowded bus, so that I can have a seat up to the next stop. I will prefer to remain silent, and will wish only to the frown conductor, as I shall show him the day pass.

After getting down from the bus, I will wait there for some time. I feel that by then I must have lost my vigor, courage and confidence to start the wishing business. I will slowly resume my confidence and will try to wish, some beautiful girl.

Wishing unknown girls is always a risky business, you never know, what will happen next. She may smile, she may scream, she may ignore or she may say I am all yours. Any ways I will leave it to my luck.

When I will feel that I am done with too much of wishing, I will travel back to my home, all silent, with no more wishing, hoping, that someone like me, out there would popup and wish me “Happy New Year”. Hope So!!!

Happy New Year to All.

You are truly blessed with uniqueness,to think and do beyond the busy-bustling-trodden path. And this is what makes you different from others.

Hope this New Year marks a new beginning of loads and loads of happiness, success, creative virtues, richness of health and harmony.

Happy New Year Gyan Bhai :)
